Klaro does not calculate for United States yet
We calculate the real cost for France, Spain and Italy. Importing a car into another country follows other rules, and we calculate nothing without a verified official source. You can see how it works with one of those three countries.
A German car looks cheaper. Klaro adds what is missing — transport, IPT, fees and plates — and tells you what it really costs in Italy.
How it works
Choose make and model, or paste the link of an AutoScout24 or mobile.de listing.
Spain or France: taxes and paperwork change with the country.
Transport and taxes line by line, with their source, and the listing’s risk signals.
Pricing
The calculation is free, no account needed: the price delivered to your door, taxes included, and whether you really save compared with your country. Once you have picked the car, the purchase report guides you to registration without overpaying.
€0
It’s for you if you are looking at cars and want to know which ones are worth it before contacting anyone.
€49per car
It’s for you if you have found the car and do not want to overpay or get it wrong with the seller or the papers.
€149per car
It’s for you if it is your first import and you would rather have someone check it with you before you pay.

Listings we can read; not exhaustive
Anything estimated is shown as a range. If the listing has no power in kW, we show no total instead of inventing a figure.
Questions
Because in Italy the imposta provinciale di trascrizione is paid when the car is entered in the PRA, also when it comes from another EU country. It depends on the power in kW and on the province.
Each province may raise the base rate by up to 30%. We show the minimum and the maximum; your province publishes its own rate.
Only if the car is “new” for tax purposes: under 6 months since first registration or under 6,000 km. For a used car, no.
No. Klaro calculates and informs you. You buy directly from the seller and do the paperwork yourself; we tell you which.
The listing price, the real cost — every line with its source and the true saving —, the risk signals and the German police rules are free, with no account. The purchase report (messages to the seller in their language, 5-step plan, documents and handover-day checklist) costs €49 per car, one payment. We charge neither sellers nor dealers.
