1.DGT vehicle report
How to do itShow lessThe short report is free: a red or orange signal means the car cannot be transferred or has a condition (seizure, charge). The detailed report is paid.
2.Have it inspected before paying
How to do itShow lessAn independent inspector or garage near the car, chosen and paid by you. It is the one cost that can stop you buying the wrong car.
3.Contract signed on every page
How to do itShow lessContract (or invoice from a dealer) signed by both on every page, with the handover time. The seller notifies the DGT of the sale.
4.ITP (form 620) before the change of owner
How to do itShow lessIn your region, online in almost all. Bought from a dealer: no ITP, the invoice is enough.
Change of owner at the DGT, within 30 days

Several risk signals
High risk
A price this low is the most common scam signal. Bargains exist, but rarely at this level.
What to do:
Don’t pay anything before you’ve seen the car. Ask for the VIN and check its history before you travel.

Worth checking
Without reviews, we know nothing about their past sales. Fake sellers often open a new account.
What to do:
Talk to them on the phone, see the car in person, and check that the name on the papers matches.
Online (DNIe, certificate or Cl@ve) or in person by appointment. The new registration certificate is only valid with a current ITV. Put the policy in your name before driving.
The listing doesn’t mention a service book (libro de mantenimiento). Ask for photos of the service book.
